When ComplianceMate joined the Ladle family, one thing was clear from day one. For Five Guys Burgers and Fries, nothing changes except for the better.
Five Guys has long trusted ComplianceMate to help protect food safety, reduce operational risk, and support teams on the front line. Under Ladle’s leadership, that commitment remains the same, with increased investment and innovation behind it.
At the center of this next chapter is Todd Gebski, CEO of Ladle, a leader focused on understanding restaurant operations firsthand, not just through data but through real-world experience.
Why Five Guys Chose a Partner That Puts Operators First
ComplianceMate by Ladle has been a trusted food safety and compliance platform for Five Guys for years, supporting teams across locations with consistent and reliable workflows.
Todd recently spent time with the Five Guys Burgers and Fries corporate team to better understand the culture, pace, and standards that make the brand one of the most respected names in food service.
Rather than a surface-level visit, Todd came in listening, asking thoughtful questions, and reinforcing a simple belief.
Technology should fit the way restaurant teams work, not the other way around.
A Shared Vision for Food Safety and Compliance Excellence
When asked about the future of ComplianceMate under Ladle’s leadership, Todd emphasized continuity for Five Guys teams alongside deeper investment.
“My goal is simple. ComplianceMate will keep doing what it already does best for Five Guys. Protect food safety, reduce risk, and give teams confidence.”
With Ladle’s backing, ComplianceMate is:
- Investing more deeply in engineering
- Accelerating product innovation
- Building smarter tools that support real shift workflows
All while honoring the operational rhythm that Five Guys teams rely on every day.
Respecting the Five Guys Culture on the Line
Five Guys has a strong identity built on fast-paced kitchens, tight teamwork, and high standards during every shift.
That is exactly what Todd wants to understand more deeply.
“Technology only works if it fits the rhythm of the people using it. I want to understand the pace, the culture, and what a real shift looks like inside a Five Guys restaurant.”
By spending time with Five Guys teams and visiting stores, Ladle ensures ComplianceMate continues to support rather than disrupt the way work gets done.
From Five Guys Fan to Food Safety Partner
Todd’s relationship with Five Guys started long before Ladle.
While living in Arlington, Virginia in the early 2000s, he was introduced to Five Guys by a friend who insisted it was the best burger around. That claim held up.
His order was a Little Cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, jalapeños, and famously overflowing fries.
Today, that connection comes full circle. Not just as a customer, but as a partner responsible for supporting Five Guys food safety and compliance at scale.
Supporting Five Guys Restaurants, One Detail at a Time
For Ladle, working with a brand like Five Guys is a responsibility taken seriously.
“My job is to make sure Five Guys restaurants stay safe, consistent, and set up for success. The details matter because the details are why guests keep coming back.”
That philosophy guides every decision Ladle makes on the ComplianceMate product roadmap.
Last Course
Whether Five Guys teams are completing daily food safety checks, preparing for inspections, or managing a high-volume shift, ComplianceMate by Ladle is built to support them.
Reliably, consistently, and with respect for the work on the line.
We are proud to support Five Guys Burgers and Fries and excited for what is ahead!
